Apparently Bush has sent legislation to Congress “long ago” that would have solved our economic woes, only to see them sit or be replaced with approaches that he deems unacceptable.
UN rapporteur: “Biofuels are a crime against humanity”
The United Nations special rapporteur on the right to food, Jean Ziegler, has called for the suspension of biofuels production. He said it is a major cause for the food crisis that has thrown millions into poverty. “Burning food today so as to serve the mobility of the rich countries is a crime against humanity.”
Soldier Sues Army, Saying His Atheism Led to Threats
Army Specialist Jeremy Hall said he did not advertise his atheism during his service, but his views became apparent during his second deployment to Iraq. An officer told him, and others, they would be punished for not being Christians like the founding fathers, nullifying religious freedom to believe or not believe.
